CONFIDENTIALITY

Ianos Watches treats all information provided by you through the Ianos Watches website with complete confidentiality and uses such information only for the specific purposes indicated by you, namely subscription to the newsletter and the creation of a customer profile for the purchase of products. You have, at any time, the right to access, modify and delete any information you wish about yourself. If you wish to do any of the above, please email us at info@ianoswatches.com with your request.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Ianos Watches website and all information, texts, logos, videos, images and renders are the property of, or are lawfully used by, Ianos Watches. Some aspects of the website, including logo and watch designs are protected by international copyright and trademark and their use without Ianos Watches’ consent is strictly prohibited.

WARRANTY

All Ianos watches carry a 2-year international warranty against any manufacturing or assembly defects, commencing from the date the watch is received by the customer, as indicated by a delivery notice from DHL. The warranty includes the movement, case, dial, hands and crown but excludes the straps, buckles and glass.

Please note that subjection of mechanical watches to shocks, exposure to electromagnets or activities associated with unusual shocks, vibrations and similar may cause damage and/or affect their functionality. The warranty does not cover any mishandling and/or damaging of the watch or any of its components, nor does it cover wear and tear of the watch case, components or accessories such as straps, buckles and loops.

Furthermore, any work carried out by a client and/or a non-authorized third party will void the warranty.

For watches repaired under warranty, Ianos Watches will cover the cost of transportation of the watch back to the client.

For watches repaired out-of-warranty, the transportation costs of the watch shall be fully covered by the client.

The warranty can be transferred once to a secondary owner of the watch. The original owner must contact us at info@ianoswatches.com regarding the transfer of the watch and advise us of the new owner’s details. Upon receiving such advice, the outstanding portion of the original 2 year warranty shall run for the new owner.

Regarding the service intervals for our watches, like any precision instrument, watches should be serviced regularly to ensure optimum operation. As a general rule we recommend that you have your watch checked every 3 to 4 years by Ianos or an authorized service centre. Depending on the conditions of use of the watch, a shorter interval may be required, especially for diver watches to ensure their water proofness. Water proofness shall only be covered by the warranty if it is proven to be a result of a manufacturing or assembly defect.

RETURNS

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us at info@ianoswatches.com for instructions for returns.

Ianos Watches accepts returns for products only in new, unused, undamaged and unaltered condition, complete in original packaging within 14 days of the customer’s receipt of goods.

Product returns are the responsibility of the client, including transport costs, custom fees and taxes. Returned goods must be packaged carefully to avoid damage during transit. Watches that are found damaged, incomplete or dirty upon arrival will not be accepted and will not be refunded.

Straps are considered consumables and are not eligible for returns.

Once the 14-day period has lapsed, the sale is considered final.

PRE-ORDERS

Ianos Watches may run pre-order for new watches. Unless stated otherwise on the shop page of the relevant pre-order, the following terms shall apply to all pre-orders:

Watches made available for pre-order are made in limited quantities.

Due to the nature of this type of sale, where a limited number of watches is made for clients who secure their watch by the payment of a deposit, such deposits are final and non-refundable and can only be used towards other Ianos watches from the Ianos Watches website. In case a client wishes to use such deposit for the purchase of another watch and returns such watch within the 14 day period, as per our terms regarding returns such client shall only be refunded the difference (if any) between the price of the watch bought and the sum of the deposit amount plus 80 CHF (shipping costs).

A month before the scheduled assembly of the pre-ordered watch, Ianos Watches shall contact the client with further instructions regarding the payment of the balance of the pre-order price.

The pre-ordered watch shall be dispatches once the full pre-order price has been received by Ianos Watches.

Please note that Ianos Watches provides estimates with regard to the dates of manufacturing, assembly and dispatch of pre-order watches always in good faith and based on information available at the time.

While we use best efforts to deliver the pre-order watches according to the schedule advised, please note that delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control. Any such delay shall not constitute failure to deliver and any cancellation due to a delay shall be considered as initiated by the client.

By placing a pre-order, the client accepts the above terms of sale.

PRICES

Prices are expressed in Swiss Francs (CHF). We accept payments for international orders via Credit Card and PayPal.  The price indicated on our website upon the checkout of the products includes the price of the products, handling, packaging and transportation costs, and they do not include any import duties, customs fees, VAT, sales tax or any other charge applied on your order upon importation to your country. Ianos Watches reserves the right to change prices at any time. However, the price in the catalogue on the day of the order will be the only one applicable to the buyer.

TAXES AND DUTIES

The customs office (or other authorities) in the sending and/or destination country may apply import duties, customs fees and/or other duties, fees, taxes and charges to your order. You are solely responsible for the payment of these duties, fees, taxes and charges.

DELIVERY

All Ianos Watches are shipped from Switzerland by DHL, registered and insured within 3 working days after your order has been accepted and payment received except holiday periods in which case the watches will be shipped within 3 working days after the last public holiday of the period. Delivery times may vary based upon time required for customs clearance and other reasons not in our control. Ianos Watches takes no responsibility for such delays. The delivery times are not applicable to the pre-order of watches when it is clearly marked as such on the site. In the case of the pre-order, the deliveries will take place by the last working day of the month advised as the delivery month of the pre-ordered watch.

All Ianos Straps are shipped from Switzerland by regular mail within 3 working days after your order has been accepted and payment received except holiday periods in which case the watches will be shipped within 3 working days after the last public holiday of the period. Delivery times may vary based upon time required for customs clearance and other reasons not in our control. Ianos Watches takes no responsibility for such delays.

AMENDMENT TO TERMS

Ianos Watches reserves the right to update these terms as necessary at our discretion. The latest version supersedes all previous versions.
